One Minute Volume 2 at Close-Up Cinema, London E1 on Sunday 23rd August 2026

One Minute Volume 2 (2008) will be screening as part of the One Minute retrospective at Close Up Cinema, Sclater St., London. E1 screening on Sunday 23 August 2026 at 4pm This was the second instalment in Kerry Baldry’s One Minute series of artists’ moving image programmes, bringing together an eclectic selection of works spanning 16mm film, Super 8 film, and video. Showcasing a wide range of artistic approaches, the programme features works employing stop-frame animation, superimposition, and other experimental filmmaking techniques. While varied in form, style, and subject matter, each work adheres to a single formal constraint: a running time of within one minute. Since August 2024, Close-Up has been presenting these 12 volumes in reverse order, offering a unique retrospective that invites viewers to explore the evolution of this extensive project.
